Shoe Closet

Spring = Spring Cleaning, right?

I cleaned up my closet and realized I have about 100 pairs of shoes, which I like to think is average for women?  How many pairs of shoes do you own?

I use a couple of the antique white Akada shoe organizers from Home Depot in my closet along with Ikea shoe compartments and racks for the rest of the pairs in the front hall closet.

How do you keep your shoes organized?

Style'n had a great TIP for keeping your boots all lined up! Check it out here.

Here's my closet followed by some pretty stunning shoe closets, don't you think?  *SIGH*

(I love the two black and white images! So classic!)

Classic Red

What is it about a classic red lip that looks so glamorous?

Don't these lovely ladies make you feel like breaking out the RED?

I finally found my perfect shade.   It's Lorac's Matte Lipstick in "Receive".   I keep it in my purse just in case I'm going out and need to dress up a bit.

Do you have a perfect red?

Crochet

I regret getting rid of one of my crochet sweaters last year!

Oh fashion and it's cycles!  How cute is this crochet necklace?  Like a bib but so much more delicate and pretty!

Rustic & Refined

Anthropologie has great new arrivals that are menswear inspired but also lacy and florally and totally feminine. So much win!

Tsunami

I'm sure everyone is watching the news of the magnitude-8.9 earthquake and tsunami that hit the coast of Northern Japan and now has hit Kauai.

The images and video footage are unbelievable.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Japan.

Sunglasses

I know a lot of people wear sunglasses during the winter months (are you one of them?) because of the bright sunshine or the reflection of all the white snow, but can you not just WAIT to bring them out for SUMMER?
I don't even want Spring anymore, I just want it to go straight into summer, haha!
Love this image and the big sunglasses!

60s

Yes!  60s hair is back!

As seen in Paris, at the Valentino show.

Models’ hair was styled into low ponytails with height at the crown and a headband!

Like or dislike?  I heart very much.

Milk & Honey

Have you heard about this?
Started by sisters Ilissa and Dori Howard, you can design your own shoes over at Milk & Honey.

For $250 you can design your own pair of heels and for $200 your own pair of flats.

All shoes (except rush orders) take approximately 6 weeks to produce. (check out their "how it works" page for more)

The only problem after all that work is, what if they don't fit?

Well, they have a policy for that too:  you can return or exchange unworn shoes within 30 days.

Have any of you tried this?  Is it something you would do?

I'm so tempted!

I love this pair from their inspiration gallery as it mimics the Valentino's I so covet!

Garance Doré Inspiration

(Image via Harper's Bazaar)

I was inspired by this photograph taken by Scott Schuman of Garance. I think she looks so carefree and elegant and easily put together.

Here's my take on this look.  I'm a huge fan of rolling up my sleeves to a 3/4 length, otherwise I just look stumpy!
Is this something you'd wear?
