How about wearing MINT for St. Paddy's Day, for taking in the parade in Southie? Or drinking green beer in a hidden Irish pub in Boston?

NYC: Over the Knee

Now that the weather's so warm, I'm thankful to be able to put away my boots. Although I have to say I'm really thankful to not have even had to bring out my SNOW boots!

What do you think of the over-the-knee boot and thigh-high boot trend? Are we ready to put them away forever?

As seen in Soho. Also in Soho, Bread.

New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Christina K. Pierce

Look who I ran into in the tent at NYFW?

Christina from Christina K.Pierce Boutique in Boston. Looking stunning in a deep green dress from Lily and Migs Fall 2012 and kickin' it in sparkly Argentinian Paruolo heels.

February: Art to Inspiration

I'm so excited about today's post as it's the first installment of the "Art to Inspiration" project, created by Supal from Chevrons & Eclairs. Every first Wednesday of each month participants produce a post inspired by a work of art as selected by Supal. The collected results will be posted over here.

Today's work of art comes from:

Hiroshi Matsumoto, December 2010 - 4

I was inspired by the two vibrant patches of blue in this painting. It reminded me of this pair of cobalt hued shoes I bought (a score at $7 from a shoe store in Downtown Crossing) but haven't yet worn. We're seeing cobalt a lot lately; I've worn it before, and now I'm inspired to give these heels a test drive. (Check out my Pinterest for more cobalt inspiration).

Want to join the Art to Inspiration Project? Contact Supal!

Lit Boutique: Blogger Shopping Party

It was a meet, mingle, shop and sip at LIT Boutique last night in the North End.

It was great meeting Shanna-Marie of Shanna's Eye View who put the event together and Rebecca, the manager of LIT as well as fellow Boston Bloggers, Michael of Trendy Dwarf, Kristen of Boston Fashionista , Michele of Michele's Musings and Anosha of Locks & Trinkets.

I tried on a pair of super cute Naughty Monkey heels, but the sixes were a tad snug on my 6.5 feet. (Although I fit into size 5 Hunter boots, wtf?).

Thanks for the wonderful cupcakes (still need to know where those babies were from) and the lovely Votiva candles.  Photos by photohogger.

As seen on the streets of Amsterdam.

Maroon bag + booties?  Check.

Cute peplum jacket?  Mmm-hmm.

Cellphone?  Yup.

Bicycle?  You betcha.  (photo by photohogger)

What's the colour of your go-to Fall bag?  (One of my faves is a dark blue Sak messenger bag)

Animal Print

Y'all know how much I love a good leopard.  Print, that is.  And animal print is nothing new to the seasons, it is a classic print that goes with anything, but when I saw these Franco Sarto wedges with the unusual placement of fur, I was sold.  (photos by photohogger)

So, how do you animal print?

And if you haven't already, ENTER TO WIN THIS FABULOUS COPPER CUFF from ESMA STUDIO! Contest ENDS TODAY at 5pm EST!  Stay tuned for the WINNER!

BFW2011: Daniela Corte

The big finale of Boston Fashion Week took place on Friday September 30, when Daniela Corte took place on centre stage.

What a close! It was one of the most exciting events, the TENT was completely sold out and filled to the brim.

Here's just a teaser of the show to come. Whose shoes?

We were trying to figure out what the lady on the left was wearing. Anyone know? The other two are the designers :) Smashing!

Missoni Weekend

Missoni for Target had everyone in a frenzy.  The website was down for some time, then Missoni items were all over Ebay.  My sister went to Target and scored some really cute items for herself and for me! She got me this shirt and these pumps.  The pumps are a bit loose on me so they may go back, but aren't they pretty?  (Photos: photohogger)

Some of my girlfriends from Toronto were visiting this weekend, so I decided to wear my Missoni shirt for our day out and about in Boston on Saturday.  I wore it with skinny jeans, pearls and sunglasses and because we were walking around, Converse and an army green jacket with rolled up sleeves.

We also had a ball of a good time shopping at the Wrentham Outlets on Friday.  The girls scored a great deal at the Vince Camuto outlet as they were having a "Buy One Get One 1/2 off" sale.  I almost bought the same pair as my BFF but then I would have had to employ the "Buy One Throw One Out" rule.  ;)

Toe Cleavage

I bought these leopard printed Me Too flats on sale; they're one of my favourite pairs to wear.  Lately though, and especially after looking at this photo, I feel that they're starting to stretch oddly.  Hence the toe cleavage.

Enquiring minds need to know.  Yay or nay to toe cleavage?  How much is too much?  (photo, photohogger)

Two Tones

Hi guys! I'm back from Amsterdam.  We also went to Greece for a week, but more on that later.

Firstly, I absolutely loved Amsterdam.

Holy bicycles, Batman!  And the multitasking that these men and women do on their bicycles.  And in such beautifully tailored suits and magnificent heels.  Impressive, to say the least.  I can barely ride a bike let alone, hold an umbrella.  Or, in this case, a cigarette.

Love the two tone booties with leather pants.  (photos by photohogger)

How are you at multi-tasking on a bicycle?

Hunter

We've talked about them before:  rainboots.  And with all the rain we've been getting in Boston, I was happy to find these Hunter boots on sale for $49.99 at The Tannery in Boston on the weekend.  I love the beautiful rust colour and am surprised to have fit into a size 5!  For rainboots, the snugger fit with a sock is perfect, so the heel doesn't lift.  This will be a welcome addition to my favourite Kate Spade pair, that is, when our furniture and belongings finally arrive (going on 3 weeks now, guys!).

(photo: photohogger)

What sort of rain footwear to you prefer?

Sam Studelman

Sam Edelman is my all-time favourite shoe designer, mostly for flats.  I have been swooning over these studded heels, though.  I love anything studded, if you'll remember from here and here (hello Valentino!)

How do you feel about studded heels?
