What is Diwali or Deepavali?
It is the Hindu celebration and festival of Lights. I like to refer to the Office for explanation :)
All jokes aside, Diwali signifies the triumph of good over evil. Small clay lamps - diyas - are lit in a row, or somewhere in the home.
It's also celebrated by wearing new clothes (thank you H&M) and eating sweets (can't complain!).
