So, Marshalls opened in Canada! Finally! We have Winners which is the same, but it's nice to have a real Marshalls, which was acquired by T.J Maxx in 1995.

I visited the one at Warden and Eglinton on the weekend...and it was PACKED! It was as if Marshalls was only open for the day!

The shoe selection was the same as Style Sense, and the clothing was better than Winners but about the same prices (mostly starting at $29.99).

There are currently three locations (two in Toronto and one in Woodbridge) with 2 more to open up next month (in Ajax and Mississauga).

Now we eagerly await the opening of Target which is only likely to happen in 2013, taking over Canadian retail store Zellers.

J. Crew is also set to open in Canada, this year.
