As seen, here.
Greece: Athens, The Acropolis, Hat
I thought this little girl was adorably dressed for the BLAZING HEAT! There was literally NO SHADE to hide under over the entire spanse of the Acropolis. I didn't have my trusty straw fedora with me on this trip, like I did in Paris.
In the heat a hat is a smart idea.
Here's more summer hat inspiration on my Pinterest.
Greece: Athens, Shift Dress + Happy Spring!
I'm digging her bright yet simple shift dress. As seen from across the Acropolis, Athens.
This has me thinking about buying something as simple, modern and timeless as the shift dress.
More inspiration, here, in Spring's hottest trends:
Yellow, Florals, Colourblock, Stripes
Happy First Day of Spring!
Greece: Red Pants
It's time to move on to GREECE! Spring's here and it's feeling like Summer, so it's time to break out the cottons and linens and dream about tropical vacations, sandy beaches, and crystal blue waters.
This man has red pants AND red shoes.
What sunny destination are you dreaming of today?
Spring Forward in Peplum!
Say it with me, "Spring is NIGH!"
In preparation for some rainy days and the warmer weather, a light spring jacket or coat is in order. I prefer to wear a trench coat, although I will also be wearing my PEPLUM jacket from a few seasons ago! I never thought peplum would do a hippy girl justice, but this Ann Taylor LOFT jacket is subtle in its peplum ways and I'm glad I'll get another season out of it.
These were seen on the streets of NYC in late February! For more outerwear inspiration, check out my Pinterest board.
What's your go-to Spring Outerwear? And are you hopping on the peplum band-wagon?
NYC: Over the Knee
Now that the weather's so warm, I'm thankful to be able to put away my boots. Although I have to say I'm really thankful to not have even had to bring out my SNOW boots!
What do you think of the over-the-knee boot and thigh-high boot trend? Are we ready to put them away forever?
As seen in Soho. Also in Soho, Bread.
NYC: Fur Hats
These ladies wore their faux fur hats really well and although I purchased a trapper hunter's hat while in NYC, it wasn't quite so luxurious.
What are your thoughts on fur hats? Real or Faux?
New York Fashion Week: Prete & Bruno
Prete & Bruno was my final NYFW show, and one where I wasn't in the pit, which was a nice change. The Trendy Dwarf and I had a great vantage point of the whole collection. I absolutely loved all the black, golds and greens. One couldn't tell by it's flawless execution, what trouble they had in putting on the show. Everything was classic and elegant, right up to the beautiful chignons created by Vince Smith. And those shoes.
To round up New York Fashion Week, for me, in one word: exhilarating.
Looking forward to next season!
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Shenae Grimes
"It's the girl from 90210!" A lot of people I overheard didn't know her name, and I'm not going to lie, nor did I, but I recognized her and she was smiling and having a great time. Even posed with fans for photos.
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Coco Rocha
If seeing Brad, Rachel, Garance and the Sartorialist wasn't enough, Coco Rocha walked by!
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Garance + Scott
Was excited to first catch Scott Shuman passing by unnoticed and waiting in the hallway...for Garance? Then I caught sight of her greeting some friends. All before the DVF show.
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Rachel Zoe
I died when I caught sight of Rachel Zoe coming out of the DVF Show with Rodger Berman and the rest of their crew. Bananas.
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Brad Goreski
Before and after the DVF show, the tent "lobby" filled up with lots of familiar faces.
The best was this moment, when I called out, "BRAD!" to Brad Goreski who was in front of me, making him turn around and smile.
Don't you just love his trench and studded clutch?
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Red
There sure was a lot of red below the belt at NYFW. Remember when we first saw it?
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Man Repeller
I spotted Leandra Medine, aka The Man Repeller just as she was leaving the DVF show. She's so sweet and I want her jeans.
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Bill Cunningham
It made my NYF WEEK when I got to exchange a few words with Bill Cunningham! I spotted him in the tent and scurried after him to get a shot, then tapped him on the arm and told him what a huge fan of his I was. He said,
"Are you having a good time shooting?"
I nodded vigorously and he smiled and said,
"Just keep on shooting."
Good advice. If you haven't seen it yet, the film.
New York Fashion Week: Tracy Reese
I was invited to shoot the Tracy Reese show at New York Fashion Week and it was an incredible adrenaline rush!
The pit was packed. And although most of the photographers were friendly, there were some that could have been nicer.
One photographer was standing on his box which was on it's side. Hardcore. In fact, at one point I was even given a boost so that I could shoot from above. I was literally sitting on top of the backdrop at NYFW, y'all. Of course I was asked to come down, even though some of the photographers cheered me on and were telling me to hang on to the lighting rigs!
It was an awesome experience and not to mention such a fantastic show! Brightly coloured and lively! Orange and golds, and combinations to die for. Bowler hats, anyone? I'll take two.
Tracy Reese is the best. Thank you for the opportunity to capture your collection!
New York Fashion Week: SEEN
There was more cobalt, fur and floppy hats at the Lincoln Center than it's ever seen before.
Here, some more.
New York Fashion Week: SEEN: Christina K. Pierce
Look who I ran into in the tent at NYFW?
Christina from Christina K.Pierce Boutique in Boston. Looking stunning in a deep green dress from Lily and Migs Fall 2012 and kickin' it in sparkly Argentinian Paruolo heels.

New York Fashion Week: The Tent
The Mecedes Benz Fashion Week tent at the Lincoln Center is a fairly iconic venue for a lot of the shows that take place during Fashion Week in NYC. Here, a glimpse into the "tent".
