Orange you ready for Fall?
Is it too soon to talk about Fall?
Maybe. But today in Boston, it is pouring out there and it has me seeing umbrellas and thinking about fall coats.
I recently purchased an orange coat from Joe Fresh in Toronto, and I love the vibrant hue. Now I'm seeing that orange is a hot colour for fall. It reminds me of Holly Golightly's orange peacoat in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Would you wear such a bright pop of colour? (Images via Pinterest)
Thomas Sabo Bracelet + Charms
Sorry for being MIA, but I just moved from Toronto to Boston and things have been hectic to say the least.
As a going away present, my lovely girlfriends got together and secretly planned to buy me a Thomas Sabo Charm bracelet along with individual Thomas Sabo charms and some from Swarovski! Stunning. When they presented each charm to me, I was to guess which charm came from which friend.
Thomas Sabo bracelets are gorgeous and the charms are simply spectacular. With such fine detail and brilliant colour and stones, they're little treasures you can wear alone or all together on the bracelet.
The Swarovski charms are beautiful little things, sparkly and sweet, exactly what any girl would love to have in her collection.
Ladies, wow! I am truly touched. It's something I will treasure forever. Thank you so much. I miss you!

Rainbow tips?
Would you rock these tips?

Happy Canada Day!
The lovely Royal Couple are in Ottawa today for Canada's birthday!
How stunning is the Duchess of Cambridge? Wearing the same cream coloured Reiss dress she wore for their official engagment shoot, topped with a beautiful red maple leaf fascinator by Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Co., she looks absolutely incredible! (Images via Dailymail)
Patchwork

Here's a vintage one available on Etsy for $45USD - isn't it gorg?

More patchwork skirts. (Images via Pinterest) Is this something you'd wear ladies, or only have on your bed at home?

Magazine Covers
From a photographic perspective, magazine covers are one of my favourite things. So much glamour and style is put into getting that cover page. Of course, it's amazing how Photoshopped some of them are (and by some, I mean most, if not, all)! Emma Stone, on the covers of Elle and Vanity Fair, looks vibrant and fun, but of course the Fuggirls always have something to say about covers that look wonky. Still, Vanity Fair and Vogue (US, India,UK, Italia) usually have the most outstanding covers.
What's your favourite magazine to buy and are you swayed by who's on the cover?

The SartorialTWIST!
Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!

Versace for H&M
Are you excited for the latest of collaboration with H&M? This time, it's Versace, coming Fall 2011. There will be 40 pieces for women and 20 pieces for men plus shoes and accessories.
Will you be standing in line when it launches? Have you ever stood in line for any of the past collaborations? Lanvin? Mathew Williamson? (Images via Pinterest)
Zooey is the NEW GIRL
Have you guys heard about this new show starting in the fall? Zooey Deschanel is going to be playing Jessica Day as the NEW GIRL on Fox. (All images via Pinterest)
I can. not. wait. I am a huge ZOOOoooey fan. What is not to love about her? For one, she has THE most amazing BANGS and tresses, magnificent big blue eyes and how adorable was she with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 500 Days of Summer?
I'm also excited that Damon Wayans Junior (that's right, son of funny man Damon Wayans) will be on the show, too. We really enjoyed watching him on Happy Endings, which I've heard may be cancelled (why?! It was so funny!)
Here's what Zooey had to say about WOMEN in television and film (btw, have you all seen Bridesmaids, yet? I think it's the funniest film I've seen all year!):
"I think we're in a time right now where there was a tipping point [and] so many of the pilots that were picked up were female leads, female written. Girls are kicking butt in comedy and [with] 'Bridesmaids' doing so well, I feel like this is a new frontier."
And here's a tribute to all things Zoooooeeeey!
Happy Dads
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!
What did you get your Dad for his day? Yellow sneakers? Not likely, right?
Don't know if this dude is a dad but he's rocking the yellow Nikes. Even the guys in Montreal are so fashionable. (Image photohogger)
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads I know!!!
Seersucker + Dad
I have two seersucker pieces, a pair of pants and shorts and they're so perfect for summer.
Stella McCartney's Spring RTW 2012 collection showcases a lot of Hawaiian prints, bright colours, black n' white, houndstooth and a lot of seersucker.
The origin of the word and material can be traced to India (derived from Hindi's sīrsakar which in turn comes from the Persian word: shīroshakar = milk + sugar) and was worn by the British in India during the hot climates. It later made it's way to the U.S in the form of suits for Southern gentlemen.
So maybe something seersucker-y for Dad on Father's Day?
I love these gorgeous and hand-made Alexander Olch seersucker ties.
Great seersucker and gingham short sleeved shirt.
Perfect for the summer, a seersucker bathrobe!
Summer weekend shorts from L.L.Bean.
Summer Coral
(Image photohogger)
These girls in Montreal sure knew how to breeze their way through the hot day. And isn't that coral dress super cute?
Here are more coral ways to brighten up you summer:
Essie's Braziliant - such a great nail colour!
My favourite lip gloss, Dior's Glow Expert, in sheer light coral.
Great Ikat printed summer dress with a drawstring - gotta love that!
So sexy for those summer beach BBQs, tiered knit maxi dress.
The cutest coral flip flops for only $12.50!
One of a kind gorgeous and chunky coral bracelet.
How are you infusing this trendy colour into your wardrobe this summer?
Hats
The straw fedora is so popular this summer; I have to admit I have one too, which I bought at a flea market in Paris last summer, and love wearing it with everything from dresses to shorts and a t-shirt.
In Montreal hats were a popular accessory, too. Do you have a particular hat that you like to sport on a hot sunny day? (Images photohogger)
Headphones and Heels
Sorry for being MIA last week ladies; was in Montreal and will post some photos, soon! For now, here's a very cool girl as seen in Boston. Her heels were so high and she was struttin' so fast with her headphones on. Have you noticed a lot of people wearing big-a$$ headphones again? (Image photohogger)
Yellow Pants
I'm back from Boston! We had a wonderful time, would you believe it was 32-38°C there! Wow, amazingly hot. Absolutely loved it. I should have packed more shorts and t-shirts!
Here's a woman on Charles St. sporting some yellow pants. I had to get a shot of her with the yellow hydrant, yellow Penske truck and yellow flowers in the background. Is this something you would wear ladies? (Image photohogger)
Also, red pants.
Long Weekend. What to Pack?
Canada celebrated Victoria Day last weekend and since we were staycationing, I lounged around alternating between pjs, gardening attire (pjs) and more pjs, but this weekend we're off to Boston, so I'm wondering what to pack. And as it's Memorial Day for those south of the border a lot of you may be wondering the same!
Any plans for the weekend?
Also, as we're moving to Boston in August, this week is mostly all about looking for housing, so if you have any tips on good neighbourhoods, let me know!
See you in a week!
