Monkeys

Monkeys are abundant in India, roaming freely around streets and temples; and sometimes used as entertainment in monkey shows.

This was a bit of a sad sight on Marine Drive in Bombay.

In Jaipur,  at the Jaigarh Fort, monkeys were simply hanging about in trees and walking along the tops of the palace walls.

They look cute, but apparently wreck havoc in the city. Read this story on the monkeys of Jaipur, it's quite alarming.  It can't be easy living with these creatures, but because monkeys are considered sacred, they cannot be harmed and are dealt with by monkey-catchers!

Earthquake

Toronto experienced an earthquake yesterday at 1:41pm.
(I didn't feel it though, as I was wobbling around on a bosu ball at the time)
It made me think about nature and how easily things can change within a matter of seconds.   So I thought I'd post up some photos from our Grand Canyon visit this past February.   There was SNOW there at the time!

Isn't nature astounding?

The Hiddema’s

We did a shoot at the Music Garden by the water on Saturday with the lovely Hiddema's. You may remember them from their baby shower not too long ago! In fact their baby Jasmine is all of four months old now and is just adorable! Her beautiful laugh and cheery desposition kept us happy throughout the shoot (and into lunch); what a trooper. She didn't make a fuss or cry ONCE all day! The lovely P & A were a treat for us to capture. Thank you so much for all the support you two! We had so much fun with you guys and look forward to watching baby Jasmine grow! We hope you love these as much as we do! xo

Berries

Most summers my niece comes to stay with us for a few weeks and one time we took her berry picking. I'd never been before, myself and had a wonderful time. Would love to go again. Which fresh fruit do you like to pick?

Backwaters

This one is from our trip to India this past February and one of our stops was Trivandrum, Kerala. We did a day-trip on the backwaters in Kerala.

This boy was very enthusiastic about getting his photo taken.

See more of my Kerala photos here.

The Road to Hana

I'm going to try posting a photo of the day, everyday. This one was taken on the gorgeous Hana Bay at Waikaloa Beach where we stayed (at the Hana Kai Hotel) in Hana, Maui, Hawaii. The amazing (or freaky) part of this image (and it's not photoshopped) is the face in the clouds,  seen at the top right corner, just above the trees.

Quebec City

I've been day-dreaming about Paris and everything Parisian!  The closest we get to Paris is Quebec City, and I love the historic quaintness about it.  There's the Old City, the poutine, the cobblestones, staying at the Chateau Frontenac, having coffee and tea at Le Saint-Amour before dinner hours even begin (!) and hearing stories about Sir Paul McCartney's dinner there and seeing his menu!

It's a wonderful place to visit.

Here are some captures.
