You know how the Greek flag has stripes on it? I gravitated towards that but switched up the colour.

Had a blast attending Dresscode Boston's Spring showcase at the Intercontinental in Boston. The show featured brands from local faves: Stel's, Unifrom Boston, Ball and Buck and Drinkwater's Cambridge, and was hosted by men's style curator Jeff Lahens. I'm so excited about Dresscode Boston and JL Men's' new logo, which is from Jeff Lahens' Boston Fashion Week show, which I was so honoured to shoot.

Some Instagrams from the evening.
Spectator style at the Boston Marathon 2012. Trendy neon. Other inspiration here.

Last night Zoora had a capsule collection show at The Liberty Hotel for their Fashionably Late series, in Boston.
A beautiful collection of designer items (custom piece all under $100) made the walk around the gorgeous hotel that used to be The Charles St. Jail.
It was nice to hang out with some blogger faves, the coolest couple we know, Kate and Jack, from Union Jack Creative, Danielle from Story of Style and Helena from The Honey Flower Girl, who you've also seen here.

How about wearing MINT for St. Paddy's Day, for taking in the parade in Southie? Or drinking green beer in a hidden Irish pub in Boston?
Whatever you end up doing, enjoy the weekend!
Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Look who I ran into in the tent at NYFW?
Christina from Christina K.Pierce Boutique in Boston. Looking stunning in a deep green dress from Lily and Migs Fall 2012 and kickin' it in sparkly Argentinian Paruolo heels.

One of my favourite childhood comic books growing up was Tin Tin. That, and Archie comics. Needless to say I was pretty excited about the Tin Tin film (incredible btw) and was happy to see this V-day storefront display at Boston's Black Ink on Charles Street.
I'll take an "I heart Tin Tin" cup over chocolates and flowers.

And, I leave you with a clip from a very funny Valentine's Day episode, from 30 Rock. Have a good one folks, I'm off to get my hair did!
There was another Boston Blogger event last night, this time, hosted at Sonsie, 327 Newbury Street.
What a great turnout! I've only been to two BB events thus far, but I'd say they're getting better and better. Had a blast hanging out with fellow Boston Bloggers and meeting some new faces (as you can see with my checklist, I also missed a whole bunch)! There's always next time!
Thanks Katy & Alison, once again for organizing!
Bloggers seen here: Ben, Hannah, Anna, Sarah, Laura, Kate, Alison, Clair, Emily, Elly, Katy. For more photos from the event, visit Modly Chic's FB album.

I'm so excited about today's post as it's the first installment of the "Art to Inspiration" project, created by Supal from Chevrons & Eclairs. Every first Wednesday of each month participants produce a post inspired by a work of art as selected by Supal. The collected results will be posted over here.
Today's work of art comes from:
I was inspired by the two vibrant patches of blue in this painting. It reminded me of this pair of cobalt hued shoes I bought (a score at $7 from a shoe store in Downtown Crossing) but haven't yet worn. We're seeing cobalt a lot lately; I've worn it before, and now I'm inspired to give these heels a test drive. (Check out my Pinterest for more cobalt inspiration).

Has anyone gotten on the elbow patch bandwagon, yet?
I really love the idea but quickly realized that the patches don't quite line up with my elbows! So until I can find a petite sized blazer with elbow patches, I'll admire those who wear them well, like my husband (Bill Blass blazer).

I also love the look of Tweed in general, and the way it looks so put together, like these two. The first, a model styled by Roopal Patel when she presented at Neimans. The second, a gentleman at the races. And I'm loving the brightly coloured Tweed seen at the Chanel Spring 2012 show (as seen on my Pinterest).
How about you?
Do you Elbow Patch or Tweed or Both?

Last night was the launch of Zoora held at the Apple store on Boylston Street in Boston.
We last met Aubrie and the Zoora team at Bradley and Diegel salon on Newbury for the test run of the site.
This time, the beautiful finished website was unveiled and the designer gowns were paraded in front of Apple's giant logo on the 3rd floor. The turnout was grand and everyone is so excited for Zoora to take off!
The website is up and running but the offical launch is on January 30 2012 with Trunk shows taking place in February.

On Wednesday December 7 Neiman Marcus, in Copley Place, Boston held "Colour Me Holiday", which celebrated the season with complimentary makeup and hair with style advisor tips by Neiman's own Dave Chen, newly appointed style advisor, who also worked his magic on the lovely ladies at the recent Roopal Patel event.
Hair stylists on hand were Denise Pushee and Jackie Angelos from L.A. Express, with makeup artistry ranging from Mia Balas, Liana Veda, Kinga Ryter, Shawn Kelly, Leigh Passaggio and other Neiman Marcus makeup professionals.
I was honoured to be a part of this fun holiday event and captured all the beauty with these head shots - thanks everyone for coming out and shooting with me; I had a blast!

The lovely Aubrie Pagano who is the mastermind behind Zoora, invited me to an informal soirée to meet and test-drive what will soon (as of January 28 2012) change the way we shop for ready-to-wear designer clothing online.
We gathered at the gorgeous Bradley & Diegel salon on Newbury last night for a first look at the beta website and a feel of the designs from Emily Muller (of Emily Muller Apparel) and Victoria Dominguez-Bagu (of MariaVictoria Designs). On hand was Maria Cataldo who discussed the design of the website and let us try it out giving our feedback on its layout and functionality.
Zoora plans to offer access to the latest designer clothing but with the ability for us to custom alter the clothing to our size/shape/preference.
So far, Zoora has 22 designers who are already on board and offering modifications to hemlines, fabric and colour to their looks which will allow the customer the freedom to pick and choose what will work for them.
The best part, and the one I'm most excited about is getting a perfect fit. Zoora (attained from misura meaning "measurement" in Italian) will take your height, weight, bust, waist and hip measurements and go from there. This ensures that you won't fall under the generic sizing charts found on standard clothing websites.
We were also treated to complimentary hair styling from Bradley & Diegel stylists. Thanks to Kathy who transformed my head into a bed of luscious curls!
I can't wait for Zoora's official launch next January 2012. For now, you can sign up here.
Thanks to Aubrie, Holly & Greg, Emily, Victoria and the gang at Bradley & Diegel for hosting such a fun event!

Everyone knows that Tiffany & Co. is synonymous with luxury. Opulent yellow diamonds, shiny sterling silver and that iconic (and trademarked) shade of blue.
So when I was invited for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to celebrate the opening of the new Tiffany & Co. location at Chestnut Hill Mall, two things immediately happened, a) Holly Golightly came to mind and b) I said YES.
The jewellery sparkled on our clavicles, fingers, wrists and ears, the mimosas overflowed, and the quiches were just perfect.
It was a lovely way to have breakfast and now that the bar has been set so high, my coffee will never be the same.
Thanks to Patrick McGuinness, the director of this Tiffany & Co., Stephanie, Sheryl and the other lovely associates who assisted us in trying on all sorts of spectacular jewellery and to the lovely ladies at PANcomm, Taylor and Kerri for the invitation. Also, thank you for the gorgeous coffee table book.
Some other dolled up Boston Bloggers were in attendance (a few of whom I met for the first time!), including Marissa of The Well Appointed Catwalk, Julie of JQ Lounge, Martini of Beyond Boston Chic, Naina of Style 'N, Lani of Mon Petit Chou Chou, and Annalise of Quarterlife Lifestyle.

It was lovely to meet Designer Bibhu Mohapatra at the W Hotel in Boston on November 16 for his showcase of 24 looks from his SS2012 collection (which recently showed at New York Fashion Week).
Flowy and sheer, elegant yet edgy and all very wearable, the designer himself describes the clothes as being worn by:
"Strong, confident, self-assured, well-traveled women who appreciate beautifully crafted clothes. These are the women who do not chase fashion, they make fashion." - The Boston Globe
I stopped by Neiman's yesterday and met the designer once again as he was tweaking his gorgeous window displays in their "'Twas the Night Before..." theme - don't forget to check them out!
And if you haven't seen Bibhu Mohapatra's collection yet, you can meet the designer TODAY Nov. 17 at Neiman Marcus, Copley Place from 10am-4pm in the Couture Salon.

It was such an honour for me to cover Zac Posen at Neimans on November 8th, in Boston. He was there to showcase his Spring 2012 collection recently shown at New York Fashion Week.
It's truly a breathtakingly elegant and romantic collection.
Everyone who was there last night was blown away by the glamour of the floor-skimming gowns, the cut, the fit, the detail. Everything was simply fabulous! Not to mention how nice it was to meet and talk to Mr. Posen!

PALOMA’S VENEZIA GOLDONI NECKLACE Photo Credit: © Tiffany & Co.I scored these Alice + Olivia shorts the other day from Neiman Marcus. Would you believe these were down to $53 from $158? Then I only ended up paying $3 for them as I had a gift card. I love a good deal.
What's been the greatest deal you've ever snagged on something?
